The Dunes Hotel

The Dunes Hotel has a lot to offer for a great price. It is in a fantastic location, is clean, has nice common areas and amenities and the staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed the pool, the ping pong table, and having morning coffee on their nice patio. We walked downtown for restaurants, shopping, and the museums. The location was amazing. Also, I felt there was plenty of parking - it was not an issue for us. We stayed for 3 nights. I have two criticisms: (1) the air conditioning unit in my room (228) was obnoxiously loud. I had ear plugs, which solved the sleeping issue. I should have said something to the front desk, which is why I included my room number above. I don't think there was anything wrong with it, I just think it was an old unit. (2) the products used to deoderize or clean the room were super potent and perfumy. I am sensitive to smell and use non scented products in my day-to-day, so this was a lot for me personally and may not bother others. We opened our windows to let some fresh air in and we didn't have our room serviced during our stay, in the hopes the smell would dissipate. If you want a solid, clean, modern hotel with nice people, amenities, and thoughtful touches that's in a great location for a reasonable price, I would recommend the Dunes Hotel.

Super cool Place. It’s all renovated looking clean. The front desk is amazing and very friendly. Very helpful. I believe Beatriz was the one that helped us out. It’s also a dog friendly. The gym is well equipped, and everything is cozy in the lobby. They even have bikes for you to ride Free in the coffee lobby. They have games to play And it’s very secure too. You can’t just walk in from the outside very secure. You have to use a code which I love. I like the fact that it’s Downtown in the middle of everything in very affordable. I highly recommend this spot. If you’re coming to Palm Springs It has everything you need and a great location for a reasonable price!

I've been to the Dunes a few times and I love coming back, especially when I am traveling with my son. The rooms are clean and big enough to accommodate a family. The location is perfect for us, right off the main road and down away from most of the heavy traffic. We love having the walkability to go to breakfast next door, or walk for some ice cream and that its an easy drive to whatever touristy place in PS we might want to go to. Nice job on rehabbing an old hotel into something that is dog, price and kid friendly. Its exactly what you need for a quick get away and to find a budget hotel in PS where you can relax and have a simple room and go get food when you need it.

Enjoyed this stay. Newly renovated and clean. The front desk is amazing and very friendly. Jordan helped and was very attentive. It’s Free in the coffee lobby and bikes to ride are a nice touch. I like the fact that it’s Downtown in the middle of Palm Springs and is reasonably priced.

We ditched the expensive hotel with $50 parking and booked the Dunes. We to PS for a 70th birthday celebration with family from LA & AZ. A few of us booked rooms here. We were pleased with the convenient location, free parking and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff were attentive and greeted us every time we walked in & out of the lobby. My boys raided the complimentary snacks & fresh fruit while I enjoyed a cup of coffee every morning. We loved the vibe and energy. We appreciated complimentary beach cruisers and vending machine room. We booked a 1 bedroom to sleep 4 which came with a microwave, mini frig and coffee maker. The staff Lupita, also recommended a breakfast spot next door called a Bit of Country. It was on point. Food was great and their waiter Armando was as sweet as pie. The only thing missing was a tip jar! All in all we had a fantastic weekend at this hotel and will book it again! Party of 4. Kids 13 & 9

Stayed at the Dunes last week, was nice & pleasant if you’re looking for a regular simple place to stay this should be your spot. Not fancy! Very clean & bed was super comfortable bathroom a bit on the small side! Also the location is great!

Excellent quality, clean rooms at a reasonable price. Staff is always welcoming (5* for Beatris at the front desk) and greets you with a pleasant smile. Comfortable beds & pillows, plenty of space in the rooms, towels that aren't see through & were properly laundered. Nice snack bar, great location. I'm in town frequently as of late for family business, and this is my new go-to. Thank you Dunes!

My kids loved the heated pool, and the jacuzzi was very nice. Our room was clean, and the check in was easy with friendly faces behind the desk. I wish there was more dedicated parking for hotel guests, as we had to park on the street far from our room. And the coffee was not very good, with no milk anywhere in the hotel.
